APCL Group Welcomes 72 New Apprentices Across the UK.

APCL Group is delighted to announce it has welcomed 72 new apprentices across the Group this September.

APCL offers award winning apprenticeship programmes across the North West, South West and North East of England.

Together, A&P and Cammell Laird recruit at least 70 apprentices each year and the vast majority have gone straight into full-time, permanent employment upon completion of their initial training.

At A&P Tyne, 14 apprentices have joined the company including five welders, five platers, one electrician, one pipefitting, one health and safety technician and one HR support apprentice. Apprentices joined A&P Tyne on the 16th September and will attend new training provider Sunderland Engineering Training Association (SETA) for the first 6-7 months before joining A&P full time.

In Falmouth, eight apprentices have joined the team including two engineering fitters, two metal pipe fabricators, a machinist technician, a installation and maintenance technician, a product design & development engineer and a port operations apprentice.

Meanwhile Cammell Laird has recruited 50 new apprentices including 15 welders, five mechanical fitters, one machinist, six riggers, two shipwrights, 19 platers and two pipefitters.
