APCL Group Celebrates Armed Forces Day.

“Today we celebrate Armed Forces Day and A&P Group, Cammell Laird and Neway are proud to celebrate our close links with the UK’s military.

"Not only are we proud to serve the Ministry of Defence through our dedicated Defence Divisions, but also count a number of former service personnel as some of our most valued employees.“

Both A&P and Cammell Laird are Silver Award holders under the Ministry of Defence’s Employer Recognition Scheme highlighting their commitment to those employees who are Veterans, Reservists and Cadet Adult Forces Volunteers.

“We are equally proud of the roles A&P and Cammell Laird have played and continue to play by both building and repairing vessels which are critical to the defence and security of the UK. During World War II, Cammell Laird produced nearly 200 commercial and military vessels in support of the UK war effort.

“Both A&P and Cammell Laird continue to support the build of the Royal Navy’s Type 26 Frigate and Dreadnought Class Submarine on behalf of BAE Systems and manufactured substantial units of the Astute Class Nuclear Submarines and Her Majesty’s QEC Class Aircraft Carriers on behalf of the Aircraft Carrier Alliance.
